With their new single ‘The Art of Being Alone’, Beyond the Black open another chapter on the road to their album Break The Silence, which will be released on 9 January 2026. Support comes from none other than Chris Harms (Lord of the Lost), who enriches the song as a guest vocalist.

The track addresses mental health, self-empowerment and the path out of inner isolation. The accompanying music video depicts feelings of loneliness and confinement – ultimately leading to self-confidence and a breakout from this ‘mental prison’

Frontwoman Jennifer Haben explains:

‘The Art Of Being Alone’ is one of the most emotional songs for us because it was born out of personal struggles and quiet reflections. We wanted it to feel fragile and powerful at the same time – and we believe that many of you will find your own story in it. With Chris Harms at our side, the song has taken on a special depth."

Chris Harms is also enthusiastic:

‘This duet was long overdue! Beyond the Black and Lord of the Lost have been crossing paths for more than ten years – and it was clear that Jenny's and my voices would go well together. Now it's finally happened and we've created a song together that is guaranteed to give you goosebumps.’

Break The Silence will be Beyond the Black's sixth studio album. Thematically, it revolves around communication, resilience and the search for connection in a torn world. Songs such as ‘Let There Be Rain’, ‘(La Vie Est Un) Cinéma’, “Ravens” and ‘The Flood’ underline the complexity of the album, which combines melodic metal with ethnic influences.
