League of Distortion, the rising modern metal band fronted by vocalist Anna Brunner, who is also known for her work with Exit Eden, and guitarist Jim Müller, who shreds for Kissin' Dynamite, impressively demonstrates with their new album Galvanize why they are currently among the most exciting newcomers in the scene. Reinforced by Felix Rehmann on bass and Tino Calmbach on drums, they bring a fresh breeze to modern metal by merging genres and combining uncompromising intensity with emotional depth.
League of Distortion
League of Distortion is an up-and-coming German modern metal band led by Anna Brunner (Exit Eden) and Jim Müller (Kissin’ Dynamite). Anna Brunner already achieved considerable international success with her symphonic metal band Exit Eden in 2017, while Jim Müller has been making waves with Kissin’ Dynamite since 2007. They are joined by Felix Rehmann on bass and Tino Calmbach on drums.

Aggressive and captivating: This is the new sound of Galvanize.
The opener and title track Galvanize sets the tone for the entire album: powerful guitars, electronic influences, and Anna Brunner's distinctive voice create a captivating atmosphere. The forceful chorus is a catchy earworm that lodges deep in the memory.
Following up is My Hate Will Go On, an angry, uncompromising track that reflects the band's signature intensity. The dynamic mix of heavy riffs, gentle passages, and varied vocals shows how the band has evolved.
Also noteworthy is Chainsaw, a song that captures the band's energy and dynamism with its anthemic and aggressive chorus and tension-filled verses. Equally dark and aggressive is Suck My Blood, which surprises with calm verses, only to explode back into raw aggression.
Here comes the climax.
Another highlight is In Our DNA, where the band collaborates with industrial metal veterans CYPECORE. The distinctive shifts between male and female vocals, along with the electronic influences, give the song a special touch and make it an absolute must on the album.
My personal favorite songs are My Enemy and Crucify Me. My Enemy stands out with its raw energy, trance elements, and brief rap sections, while Crucify Me impresses with its dynamic transitions between gentle moments, a catchy chorus, and powerful outbursts, making these tracks the high points of the album for me.
League of Distortion prove they are here to shake up the scene.

Galvanize is an outstanding work full of surprises that will set the hearts of modern metal fans racing. It's raw, unfiltered, and emotional—a combination that will catapult League of Distortion to the next level in their career. The bar was set high with the debut album, but League of Distortion have managed to grow with their second release, further enhancing their musical diversity and expressiveness. An album that should not be missing from any playlist.
