He was already the sixth singer in the US hard rock combo Skid Row - and has now had to leave after almost two years: Erik Grönwall is leaving the band due to health problems. For Skid Row's upcoming four US dates, the band was able to secure none other than Lizzy Hale. "It's an honor to call the band members my friends - and a privilege to share the stage with them now," writes Lizzy on Instagram.
Immunodeficiency as a reason for exit
Ex-singer Grönwall beat cancer a few years ago. Since then, however, he has been immunocompromised, which is not a good prerequisite for the strenuous touring life. Unsurprisingly, he has now decided to focus on his health. "I need to give myself more time to recover. And I can't do that as the lead singer of Skid Row," he explained.
Skid Row with Lizzy Hale

May 18 – Riverside, IA
May 31 – Reno, NV
