Illumishade announce second album “Another Side of You”

Up-and-coming Swiss modern metal band Illumishade announces that their second album, “Another Side of You,” will be released on February 16, 2024 via Napalm Records. The group, led by singer Fabienne Erni and guitarist Jonas Wolf (both known from Eluveitie), presents themselves on the new work with a mixture of dark and light elements.

The current single “Here We Are” is characterized by Erni’s crystal-clear vocals and Wolf’s powerful guitar work. The song adds a modern progressiveness to the band's traditional songwriting and impresses with a catchy chorus and a versatile middle. The accompanying music video completes the overall experience.

Fabienne Erni from Illumishade explains the song as follows: “‘Here We Are’ is a hymn to the essence of the here and now. It talks about accepting the legacy of history, recognizing our current position as a basis from which we can move forward.”

“Another Side of You” is the follow-up to the acclaimed debut album “ECLYPTIC: Wake Of Shadows”. The second string presents a more modern approach both lyrically and musically and still takes the listener into an immersive world with fascinating soundscapes (which are even reinforced at certain points by the Budapest Art Orchestra) as well as massive and dreamlike vocal lines. This marks the perfect start of a new chapter for this promising ensemble.
