Battle Beast Release "Steelbound"

Janne Björkroth, keyboardist, producer, and composer of the new track, describes it as both "heavy and light" at the same time. He also characterizes the composition and lyrics as a powerful blast that breaks through walls—without forgetting groove and a touch of playful irony.

But "Steelbound" is more than just a groovy song. It’s about resistance and resilience, and is meant to be an energetic call to action for anyone who has ever been rejected, belittled, or silenced. Janne Björkroth explains the message behind it: "‘Steelbound’ is a song about all of us. About the strength to resist injustice and about the respect everyone deserves. Sometimes our attitudes may be off, but we can—and should—constantly adjust them."

Frontwoman Noora adds:"As a child, I was bullied at school, and as an adult, I’ve experienced misogyny and sexism both professionally and personally. These experiences have shaped me into someone who always stands up against injustice. ‘Steelbound’ is a power song for all of us trying to navigate difficult life situations and relationships. The song addresses painful issues, but at the same time, it gives us strength to keep fighting against the injustices of the world."

"Steelbound" is released alongside a music video that captures the song’s energetic vibe and visually reinforces its message. Battle Beast’s seventh studio album, also titled Steelbound, will be released in October.
