Battle Beast announce line-up change and welcome new vocalist Marina La Torraca

Battle Beast have announced a major line-up change: singer Noora Louhimo is leaving the band. The news was shared via the band's official social media channels and marks the end of an era – after all, Noora has shaped the distinctive sound and appearance of the Finnish heavy metal band for many years. But at the same time, the band is clearly looking ahead: Marina La Torraca is taking over as vocalist for Battle Beast with immediate effect.

‘One story ends, a new one begins,’ the band said. ‘We are very excited to start this new chapter and introduce you to the new voice of Battle Beast: Marina.’

Noora, for her part, says she wants to devote more time to her solo project.

Marina La Torraca hails from São Paulo, Brazil, and is no stranger to the metal world. She is best known as the frontwoman of Phantom Elite and as a member of the symphonic metal project Exit Eden. Her musical journey began early, performing in local cover bands as a teenager before pursuing formal training, including studies in musical theatre in New York.

Renowned for her versatility, Marina’s vocal range moves effortlessly between dramatic, melodic passages and fierce, harsh screams. Beyond metal, she has built an impressive career in professional musical theatre across German-speaking countries. Offstage, she is equally multifaceted: a graphic designer, vocal coach, producer, and songwriter.

Reacting to the announcement, Marina shared her excitement and disbelief about joining the band. Seeing her name alongside Battle Beast in an email subject line, she admitted she initially thought it must be a mistake. Opening it, however, brought nothing but joy.

She described following in the footsteps of Noora Louhimo as both intimidating and thrilling, calling Noora a true vocal legend. At the same time, she emphasized her pride in joining what she describes as one of the hardest-working and most genuinely talented bands in the scene. With enthusiasm and confidence, she promised fans that this new chapter will be anything but quiet: buckle up, it’s going to be fun.
