Vibeke Stene

Vibeke Stene grew up in a musical family. She began singing lessons at the age of thirteen, which sparked her interest in classical singing. In her youth, she sang in various choirs, jazz groups and pop bands. In 1996, she became a substitute singer and later lead singer in the Norwegian gothic and symphonic metal group Tristania. In 2007, she ended her engagement with Tristania for personal reasons and played theater. In 2013, she announced that she would return to singing and work on an album. In 2015, she appeared as Silja in the play Hostage of Shame by Kai Erland. In 2020, Stene started a new musical project with Asgeir Mickelson from Borknagar and Sarke under the name Veil of Secrets. The gothic metal band's debut single, The Last Attempt, was released on November 13, 2020; the first studio album Dead Poetry followed on November 30, 2020. Vibeke Stene's main job is being a primary school teacher.
