Tatiana Shmayluk (* March 15, 1987) is the frontwoman of Jinjer. Due to her unique and versatile voice, she gained significant fame, extending beyond the metal scene.
Tatiana is best known for her impressive growling. Numerous reaction videos from vloggers all over the world have helped Jinjer gain popularity far beyond the boundaries of the genre. The clip for Pisces now has more than 60 million views on YouTube. (As of February 2022)
Crisis in eastern Ukraine forces relocation
Jinjer were founded in 2009 in the Ukrainian city of Donetsk and relocated to eastern Ukraine - specifically to Lviv near the Polish border - in 2014 due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The band members remained in their home country even after the outbreak of the Russian war of aggression against Ukraine. However, thanks to the support of the Ukrainian Ministry of Culture, the male members were granted an exemption to leave the country in June 2022 - and were surprisingly able to attend all upcoming tour dates in Europe.
The band, featuring Tatiana, Roman Ibramchalilov, Yevhen Abdukhanov and Vlad Ulashevych, is considered to be one of the best metal combos in the world in terms of technique and also one of the most active.
Jinjer are under contract with Napalm Records.
