Mizuho Lin

Jennifer Karoline Lin, also known as Mizuho Lin, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, and musician. She is recognized as the current lead vocalist of the Melodic Death Metal band Semblant. Mizuho was born in Brazil in 1990 and has a heritage that is half Taiwanese and half Brazilian-Polish. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Opera singing.

Career Path

At the age of 7, Mizuho Lin had her first encounter with music when she sang in a children's choir in her hometown of Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná. Her admiration for classical singing began at the age of 11 when she started listening to heavy metal bands. Later, at the age of 15, she also learned to play the guitar and piano. When she was old enough, Mizuho moved to Curitiba, the capital of the state of Paraná, where she took opera singing lessons and subsequently attended music school.

Entry into Semblant

In 2010, she was discovered by a member of the metal band Semblant during a performance at her college and was invited to become the band's second vocalist, taking over the position from Katia Shakath, who had left the group. Lin immediately fulfilled the band's performance plans, including some concerts and festivals, to promote the album "Last Night of Mortality."

Formation of The Erinyes

In addition to her work with Semblant, Mizuho Lin joined the Symphonic Metal trio The Erinyes in 2022, which released a self-titled album in the same year featuring singers Nicoletta Rosellini and Justine Daaé.

Virando a Mesa Soundtrack

Lin also composed and sang two songs specifically written for the soundtrack of the Brazilian Netflix movie "Virando a Mesa" (2022).
