Melissa Bonny
Melissa Bonny (* January 23, 1993, in Montreux) is a singer and songwriter from Switzerland. She is the frontwoman of Ad Infinitum and The Dark Side of the Moon.
After Bonny finished school, she was active in a cover band near her hometown in Montreux, Switzerland.
In 2012, she joined the Swiss symphonic folk metal band Evermore as a singer.
In 2015, she also joined the band Trance Metal and the band Rage of Light.
In 2018, Melissa Bonny's time with Evenmore was over and she founded her band Ad Infinitum. In addition to singing, she also writes lyrics and composes songs for the band.
At the beginning of April 2021, she announced that she was leaving Rage of Light.
In mid-July 2021, she founded the side project The Dark Side of the Moon together with other musicians and her life partner Morten Løwe Sørensen (drummer of Amaranthe).
Meanwhile, she played as a guest musician with the power metal band Warkings under the pseudonym Queen of the Damned on both albums and live performances.
From fan to singer
Melissa only started listening to metal when she was 18. "It's a different experience and I know both sides now. It's fun to play your own music, the music you love, in front of an audience and see how people react to it." Melissa is known for her guttural voice. She didn't have to practise for this "I just came home from the recording studio a little more exhausted than I was for the first album," says the Swiss singer.

Melissa Bonny has been living in Denmark since late 2020. She has been married to Morten Løwe Sørensen, the drummer of the band Amaranthe, since 2023.
