Australian alternative metal band Reliqa has released their new single, ‘Your Touch.’ ‘Your Touch’ is a genre-spanning track that explores the downside of ambition.

Created in close collaboration with producer James McKendrick (Void of Vision), ‘Your Touch’ combines the band's progressive metalcore roots with electronic and danceable elements. With this release, Reliqa builds on their debut album Secrets of the Future, released in 2024, and expands their sound with new facets.

Clip conveys confinement and isolation

‘Your Touch’ is a continuation of an idea we already explored on Secrets of the Future: the fear that ambition can go too far. It's about tunnel vision – when you're so fixated on a goal that one day you realise you've left everything you love behind. We used space imagery because it's a powerful image for big steps that ultimately leave you more isolated than ever before," the band explains about their new release.

In keeping with this, the music video, directed by Colin Jeffs (Ten of Swords Media), shows the band in a futuristic, space-like setting – a symbol of confinement, isolation and the dark side of ambition.
