It had been quiet around Carla Harvey for a long time after she left Butcher Babies and Heidi Shepherd just over a year ago. Now, according to her own statements, she has fulfilled a dream: an all-female band. With The Violent Hour, she now presents her new passion project – a powerful mix of groove, metal, attitude and empowerment. ‘I've dreamed of having an all-girl band my whole life. After a long search, I finally found it. Four incredible women who have the same drive, passion and fire in them as I do,’ she announced on Instagram.

The cast

The Violent Hour are:

Carla Harvey – vocals

Allie Kayle Fay – rhythm guitar

Kiana – lead guitar

Jewel Steele – bass

Sasha Fierce – drums

Even the first official promo photos (shot by Travis Shinn) leave no doubt: The Violent Hour stand for modern, visually powerful rock and metal aesthetics with attitude. Musically, the quintet promises a raw, direct mix of heavy riffs, catchy hooks and feminist power – very much in the style of the early Butcher Babies, but with their own character.
