The band announced the news on Instagram – comments disabled, no further details.

The official statement reads:

“Arch Enemy have parted ways with singer Alissa White-Gluz. We're thankful for the time and music we've shared and wish her all the best. Wherever there is an ending, there is also a beginning. See you in 2026.”

Alissa writes on Instagram: ‘" am forever thankful to the thousands of amazing fans I have met along the way.’" She can’t wait to share what she’s been working on — big surprises included. But she won’t reveal anything concrete until 2026.

Unexpected break at an inconvenient time

The split comes immediately after the conclusion of the major “Blood Dynasty” European tour, which celebrated its finale in Düsseldorf on November 15.

Just a few days ago, Alissa and the band were on stage across the continent alongside Amorphis, Eluveitie, and Gatecreeper. The fact that the collaboration is now ending just a few days later makes the move all the more surprising.

The end of an era

Alissa White-Gluz had been the face and voice of Arch Enemy since 2014. With her, the band released four albums that massively expanded their global reach and made her one of the most visible frontwomen in modern metal.

Her powerful growl, stage presence, and political-feminist profile made her one of the most influential artists of the past decade.
