Fierce: Four voices, one clear message

The track brings together different voices, bands and styles, but with one common idea: strength through unity.

The idea came from Debora Lavagnolo (Deep Sun), who originally wrote the song for her own album Storyteller. ‘I quickly felt that the song needed more – multiple voices, multiple perspectives. The message is bigger than myself,’ she says.

Three other singers from the metal scene are also involved:

• Laura Guldemond (Burning Witches), whose energetic voice lies somewhere between an homage to the 80s and high-speed power metal. This is the first joint project for her and Debora – even though both come from the same small town in Switzerland.

• Ambre Vourvahis (Xandria), who scores with her dark, modern tone and strong presence. ‘Our voices complement each other almost naturally,’ says Debora about the collaboration.

• Dani Nell (DevilsBridge), who brings an additional facet to the song with raw emotionality and modern harshness.

Fierce is not a competition of voices, but a joint statement. A song that doesn't scream, but convinces – through power, attitude and interplay. And a reminder that metal is no longer a male domain.
